Rev. Catherine Y.
Patterson has been a member, and has served on the ministerial staff at
Friendship Baptist Church for 25 years.
Rev. Patterson earned her Bachelors
of Arts Degree in English/Communications from Central State
University, Wilberforce, Ohio and further earned a Black Ministers Certificate
of Study from the Hartford Theological Seminary, Hartford Connecticut. Rev. Patterson was ordained to preach the
Gospel at Friendship Baptist Church in April of 1991. She is recognized as an
Ordained Minister of the Gospel in the National Baptist Association and the
American Baptist Churches of New York State.
Reverend Catherine Patterson faithfully served as Interim Pastor of the
Friendship Baptist Church from 1994 - 1998.
Rev. Patterson currently serves on the Ministry Committee (catechizations/ordinations) for the Capital Area Baptist Association (American Baptist of New York State) and is the Capital Area Representative for the Congress of Christian Education of the Central Hudson Baptist Association. She also serves as a Workshop Leader for the Congress of Christian Education for the Central Hudson Baptist Association. In her secular life Rev. Patterson is employed at the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
