BIBLE STUDY

Wednesday night 6:00-7:00pm

Topic

The book of I Corinthians.

Purposes of Writing: In I Corinthians Paul writes to (1) instruct and restore the church in its areas of weakness, correcting erroneous practices such as divisions, immorality and abuse of the Lord's Supper (see 11: 17-34); (2) to correct false teaching concerning the resurrection (see ch. 15).

In Short: The letter to the Corinthians revolves around the problems in the church with respect to Christian conduct.  It urges Christian unity and love above all else.
